Stephen Colbert is a great comedian. He started on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart but soon got his own show, The Colbert Report. I am always laughing when I watch his show because of how sarcastic he is. I definitely recommend this show!

Flight of the Conchords is a comedy due composed of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement from New Zealand. Here is a little excerpt from the duo’s Wikipedia page: “ Billing themselves as “Formerly New Zealand’s fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo”, the group uses a combination of witty observation, characterisation and acoustic guitar music. The duo’s comedy and music became the basis of a BBC radio series and then an American television series, which premiered in 2007, also called Flight of the Conchords.”

My favorite show about nothing, Seinfeld! The show ran from ’89-’98 on NBC, a total of nine seasons. All seasons are available on DVD so I highly recommend checking them out. One of the creators of Seinfeld, Larry David, created his own tv show on HBO called Curb Your Enthusiasm, it has very similar humor as Seinfeld. It is hilarious!

Tina Fey has come a long way since Saturday Night Live. She has written the screen play and acted in the Blockbuster hit, Mean Girls, and now is a writer for the Emmy award winning series, 30 Rock on NBC. One of the most memorable moments of Tina Fey was when during the 2008 presidential election campaigning she did several sketches acting as Sarah Palin, not only did she look exactly like Palin, I’m sure her portrayal of Palin effected the media’s opinion on Palin.

What do you watch at 10 p.m./11 p.m. weeknights? I find myself flipping back and forth between The Daily Show and Chelsea Lately. These shows are completely opposite and I love that. However recently I’ve been watching more Jon Stewart than Chelsea and I’ll tell you why… The Daily Show makes fun of politics, and since I’m somewhat up to date on those kinds of things, I can relate more to the show. Jon makes jokes sound smart.

Take a look at Jon Stewart’s standup from years ago, No wonder why he started The Daily Show, it was right up his alley.

I am also a huge fan of Stephen Colbert and will probably doing a post on him shortly. But if you haven’t seen The Daily Show, watch it one night! Weeknights on Comedy Central.

A must see television show is It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. After being introduced to the show a few years ago, I became hooked on the show. My favorite character on the show is… actually I don’t have an answer for that because every character has their own hilarious personality . I do think that not until Danny DeVito joined the gang, which is like the fourth or so episode of the first season did it become completely ridiculously hilarious. I recommend everyone to start watching the seasons on DVD. I am looking forward to the next season, I am going through It’s Always Sunny withdrawals.

This is a GREAT comedian, unfortunately he passed away in 2005, but his comedy is timeless.

Today I was pondering what I thought was the best, classic, old-school,  comedy movie… and I couldn’t decide. In my film criticism class in high school my teacher showed a lot of classic films including: The Kid, City Lights, Modern Times, This is Spinal Tap, The Graduate, and more.
